Privacy Policy

When you request an analysis, you provide birth details for two people: name, gender, date and exact time of birth, and place of birth (city). These are required to compute the astrological chart.

We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address to use the free analysis. We do not collect your IP address beyond what's needed for routine server logs and rate-limiting.

We do not collect health data, financial data, browsing history outside of Lumina, or contacts.

Birth details are sent to our compute server (Swiss Ephemeris) to calculate the natal charts. The resulting chart data is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the personalized text of the analysis.

Both the inputs and the generated analysis are then stored on our servers, keyed by a randomly generated short identifier, so that your shareable results URL works for up to 7 days.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell or rent your data. We do not build behavioral profiles.

Analysis results are automatically deleted from our servers 7 days after creation. After that, the shareable URL stops working and the underlying data is gone.

If you delete your browser session before opening the result, no copy remains on your device — only the server copy, which still expires in 7 days.

Server logs (timestamps, anonymized request paths) are retained for up to 30 days for operational and security purposes.

Anthropic — generates the AI text of your analysis. Birth details and chart data are processed by their API; Anthropic's policy applies in addition to ours.

Railway — our hosting and compute provider.

We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this website.

We use only strictly necessary cookies (for example, language preference). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. No consent banner is required under GDPR for strictly necessary cookies, but we display a brief notice for transparency.

You can request deletion of an analysis result before its 7-day expiry by emailing us with the result URL. Beyond the 7-day window, no copy of your data exists in our systems.

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Lumina is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the service, please contact us so we can remove any related data.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page for at least 30 days.
